    Terms & conditions of operation of the yoga center "Modern Yogi – Ashtanga yoga studio"

    General Instructions

    The following definitions apply to the Terms and Conditions:

    • “School” refers to all the physical spaces that are occupied and are part of the “MODERN YOGI – ASHTANGA YOGA STUDIO”.
    • “Student” is meant any person who uses the space as a student, client, intern.
    • “Terms” means the Terms and Conditions as defined herein.

    For the smooth operation, as well as for your own safety, health and pleasant stay at MODERN YOGI – ASHTANGA YOGA STUDIO, please read with the necessary attention and show respect for the rules that follow and constitute the operating regulations of the school. The realization of any purchase of services implies the acceptance of the following terms, which are an integral part of the contract between us. The school reserves the right to deny entry and remove anyone who does not comply with the internal regulations, does not respect fellow students, the staff and the space.

    The school reserves the right to modify or revoke any of the Terms and Conditions whenever it deems necessary to regulate its proper operation and the conduct of members. Any such changes will be posted on our websites and, until revoked, are binding on members.

    The Terms & Conditions are published on the yoganafplio.gr website and their acceptance is mandatory for the registration of a new student at the school either as a student or as a member of other activities of the school’s program. Faculty members must review the guidelines online and adhere to them to ensure the smooth running of the faculty and the convenience of all its students.

    Personal Data

    When registering a new member at the school, your following data is collected: 1) name, 2) contact numbers (landline/mobile), 3) email address, 4) phone number of a relative for contact in case of emergency, 5) medical history, information on any medication taken, medical certificates and opinions, which are voluntarily provided by the student and in which his ability to exercise is confirmed, in order to achieve the safe his participation in the activities provided. For pregnant women, an additional medical certificate from their gynecologist is required, in which their ability to exercise is confirmed, 6) your signature.

    By providing an email address and a contact number to the school, the student consents to receive email and/or contact by phone, call, or text for the purpose of information about courses or other actions of the school. You can stop receiving promotional updates at any time by using the unsubscribe link at the end of these messages or by contacting the school directly at the email address: info@yoganafplio.gr or at the phone number +302752025997.

    Your personal data is kept in a file of the school and is not published, not shared with third parties and not processed in any other way than mentioned above.

    Hours of operation & class schedule

    The opening hours and the course schedule are published electronically on the yoganafplio.gr website or verbally or electronically when it concerns a change in the schedule or on the notice board at the school. The faculty and its staff reserve the right to scheduled vacations and non-work on public holidays and strikes.

    The lessons are group or individual and last sixty (60) minutes to one hundred and twenty (120) minutes. Group programs are carried out with the condition of the minimum participation of two (2) people. The school reserves the right to modify, without prior notice, the times and days of group programs. Also, the school reserves the right to cancel any group program.

    Minor Members

    All minor members of the faculty can attend any course if their parent or legal guardian allows them and consents to their participation in the faculty after first completing the relevant responsible statement provided to them at the faculty.

    Minor faculty members follow the same regulations as adult faculty members and nothing changes.

    Code of Conduct

    The behavior of members must always be worldly and decent. Violent verbal or physical confrontation between faculty members and generally inappropriate behavior towards other members is not permitted. Members are required to comply with the instructions of the teachers and workers in the area and are prohibited from belittling, insulting or attacking them, verbally or physically. If they wish to complain, they should do so in person at the school’s office, where their observation will be recorded. Any kind of noise in the area by the members are prohibited.

    Also, members must take care of their personal cleanliness and observe the school’s hygiene rules. It is recommended for hygiene reasons that you have your own mattress in the class. However, if you do not have one, the school provides a mattress, it is recommended that you simply cover it with your personal towel or clean it after use with the school’s provided mattress cleaners.

    The school reserves the right to refuse entry to a student who does not comply with the standards of conduct policy which includes, but is not limited to: sexual, racial, gender, nationalistic, religious, social harassment or harassment of any type or form. Verbally or physically assaulting members or staff working at the school and violating privacy such as photographing other fellow students without their consent.

    Clothes & Shoes

    We recommend wearing yoga-appropriate leggings or comfortable tracksuits, a sports bra and a light t-shirt that won’t restrict your movements.

    Shoes must be removed upon entering the school and left in the shoe rack provided. Shoes are not allowed in the school; we recommend wearing flip-flops.

    However, no footwear of any kind is allowed in the classroom except for socks or shoes specially designed for yoga rooms.

    In the case of medical foot problems, please wear flip flops in all areas except in the classroom where we ask that you wear socks or specially designed shoes for yoga rooms.

    Practice, Health & Safety

    For your participation in the school’s program or in another activity, the condition is to become a member of the school by completing the relevant document in digital or printed form provided by the school. When you register, you list your health conditions and information about them, chronic diseases, pathological health problems, cardiac, conditions that may affect your mobility, any medications or allergies and pregnancy and others. You certify that all information given on the questionnaire is true and that you have not concealed any serious health problem or disability, which could be affected by the practice of yoga or other planned exercise or recreational activities of the school. You also confirm that a licensed medical practitioner has verified your good health and fitness to participate in this practice. You are not obliged to provide us with your doctor’s opinion, but you are responsible for your visit to an authorized doctor to verify your good health and physical condition and for your doctor’s confirmation that you can exercise. Practitioners with worrisome health conditions should not attend the class and should notify the faculty of any conditions that affect their health and are affected by the practice of yoga or other faculty activities.

    The faculty and its staff reserve the right to refuse access to any student if it deems that the health of the individual concerned may be at risk.You also accept that you understand that during yoga practice and other school activities, as with any physical activity, the risk of injury is always present and cannot be eliminated. Awareness is fundamental to the practice of yoga, so it is your responsibility as a student to monitor each activity and determine if it is appropriate for you to participate. If you experience pain and discomfort, you will listen to your body, stop the activity and notify the instructors.

    By accepting the terms, you accept full responsibility for any injury that may occur during or after the practice and the management and staff of “MODERN YOGI – ASHTANGA YOGA STUDIO” shall not be held responsible for any injury or bodily harm during or after training as well as for any random circumstance.

    Regulations

    1. I am on time. For reasons of your own safety and the proper functioning of the course, in case of a long delay you may not be allowed to participate in the course.
    2. I turn down the volume of my cell phone when I enter the venue and leave it in my bag to do my practice. If it is necessary to have it with me for personal reasons, I manage it quietly.
    3. I enter and exit the space quietly and with respect for the practice of other practitioners and for maintaining calm in the classroom.
    4. I change clothes in the specially designed area in the corridor in the toilets and I don’t walk around half-naked in the rest of the area.
    5. I always have a towel with me for personal use or for showering.
    6. I leave my things neatly in one of the places that I have been told that I can use.
    7. I inform my teacher about health problems, pregnancy and any injuries.
    8. I stay home if I feel sick.
    9. I take care of my personal hygiene before class.
    10. I reduce conversations during the lesson.
    11. I clean my place.
    12. I do not bring valuables and money into the studio. The school bears no responsibility in case of their loss, damage or deterioration.
    13. I avoid the practice in case I am eaten. Meals should be eaten at least 3 hours before practice.
    14. Smoking, drug use and eating are not permitted anywhere on the premises.

    Price List and Payments

    1. The school reserves the right to change prices, packages and offers at any time.
    2. Limited time offers, or other offers not mentioned on the school website and/or terms will be published with additional terms.
    3. The subscription and packages are paid in advance.
    4. If the intern is unable to complete all of his lessons per week, he may make up these courses if there is availability in other classes within the time frame and as long as the subscription is valid. 

    Credits and Subscriptions

    1. “Course packages” refer to a specific number of courses that must be completed in a specific period of time, which is indicated on each package.
    2. The start of the package is activated on the date of purchase with a validity of two (2), three (3) or six (6) calendar months. A lesson will be removed from the package each time you join it.
    3. Uncompleted courses that may remain in a package due to non-use by the student are not transferred to the next package or the next date outside the package and are lost at the end of the package, apart from courses that were not completed due to the school’s fault.
    4. The subscription period is per calendar month and is paid at the beginning of the month. In the case of buying a subscription within the month, lessons and period are calculated and the customer pays the corresponding amount.
    5. Expiry freezes are only applied to 3-, 6- and 12-month subscriptions and are only allowed for medical reasons or a change of residence and not for a period longer than (2) months for the Annual, one (1) month for the Six-pack and fifteen (15) days for the Three-pack.
    6. Students who will freeze are required to sign a doctor’s certificate or a change of residence in an email to info@yoganafplio.gr or in person with a request to freeze their subscription.
    7. Subscriptions cannot be valid for more than 12 months. The expiration freeze must be within the one-year period beginning in September, apart from Annual.
    8. Packages and subscriptions are non-transferable and must only be used by the customer named at the time of purchase unless stated at the outset, i.e. at the time of purchase.
    9. All lessons as well as private lessons take place on the school premises.
    10. Students can participate in any course they want during their subscription period and for as many times as they have paid for their subscription.
    11. Students under 16 are entitled to a 30% discount, students with a card are entitled to a 20% discount.

    Withdraw and Refunds

    1. Refunds are not made for classes that the intern did not attend, unless the classes were not carried out through the fault of the school.
    2. Refunds are not given after the completion of the course/package/subscription after you have participated in it in part or in full.
    3. Subscription cancellation and refund in the case of the student’s medical problem which renders him incapable of exercising for a long or permanent period is approved upon written confirmation of the health issue by the attending physician. The amount that will be refunded depends on the lessons of the package that remain unused and on the period of the subscription that remains until its expiration.
    4. Each member has the right to withdraw from the subscription purchase within 14 days from the date of purchase, by sending a relevant request via email to info@YogaNafplio.gr. With the exercise of the right of withdrawal by the member, “MODERN YOGI – ASHTANGA YOGA STUDIO” is obliged to return to the member the consideration he had paid. From the refund amount is deducted the number of courses in which the member has demonstrably participated up to the date on which this right of withdrawal was exercised. The refund to the member is made only by depositing into his bank account (IBAN).

    Cancellation Policy

    1. In case of cancellation of a personal lesson by the student, the school should be informed up to 4 hours in advance or the day before by sending an email to info@YogaNafplio.gr or by calling +302752025997. The course will not be charged to your package. Excluded are health cases where written confirmation of the health issue from the attending physician will be required.
    2. Cancellations of workshops, seminars, trainings and events must be made 24 hours before the start of the reserved time. If you do not attend or cancel within 24 hours of the start time, you will be charged in full and will not be able to use the credit in the future.

    Limitation of Liability and Disclaimer

    1. The school cannot be held responsible for any service or equipment that is unavailable for any reason and reserves the right to make changes to the types of facilities provided, without notice.
    2. Participation in the program and school classes is at the discretion of the participating student who is solely responsible for ensuring that he or she is able to undergo an exercise routine followed in hands-on yoga, aerial yoga and pilates mat classes. The student also accepts the risk of injury from performing exercises, undertakes the responsibility to inform that he is physically and mentally healthy and undertakes the responsibility of the inherent risks as well as his responsibility to visit the relevant doctors before starting any program or course.
    3. It is possible that during a lesson; in order to improve the technique of a student’s posture, teachers may assist him by using their hands and their bodies. The student must inform his teacher, before the start or during the lesson, whether or not he wants this kind of help. If the student believes that the conditions during the lesson are unsafe for him then he must leave.
    4. The school and its staff bear no responsibility for loss or damage to property or injury to students on the school’s premises or outside it and thus have no obligation to compensate in the case of the above paragraph. Finally, if any paragraph of the above terms of use is invalid and illegal, the remaining terms retain their force, validity and legality.

    Comments and Complains

    We welcome feedback as we know it helps us improve. But please convey your comments to us in a polite manner without offending any member of our faculty. The school is committed to trying to find an immediate solution that supports all sides.

    Projection and Public View

    Members consent to the taking of photographs and videos of themselves by school staff or third parties during classes, workshops and seminars and grant a perpetual, worldwide royalty-free, irrevocable license to “MODERN YOGI – ASHTANGA YOGA STUDIO”, to the organizers and its agents for the reproduction and use of the photos/videos of this content, without any obligation of compensation.

    If the student does not wish photos/videos to be taken and their subsequent use, he must declare this to the staff of the school or directly to the photographer.

    Terms & Conditions of Participation in the Outdoor Activities

    General

    The following definitions apply to the Terms and Conditions:

    • “Outdoor Activities” refers to all Outdoor Leisure Activities organized by “MODERN YOGI – ASHTANGA YOGA STUDIO” and are part of it.
    • “Modern Yogi” is meant the department organizing outdoor activities, part of “MODERN YOGI – ASHTANGA YOGA STUDIO”.
    • “Customer” is meant every person who participates in the outdoor activities.
    • “Terms” means the Terms and Conditions as defined herein.

    Privacy Policy

    “Modern yogi” respects the privacy of its customers and will only use personal information for booking and activity related communication purposes.

    Personal information will not be shared with third parties without express consent, unless required by law.

    Health & Safety

    1. Anyone can take part in the activities of “Modern Yogi” with the sole condition of mental and physical health, willingness to cooperate with other participants and compliance with the safety rules of “Modern Yogi”, its staff and partners.
    2. Report anything related to your health that should be reported because you take full responsibility for your health as a participant in an outdoor activity.
    3. Minors under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a guardian or parent.
    4. Minors between 16 and 18 years of age should complete a parent or guardian approval-consent provided by “Modern Yogi”.
    5. Safe distances and proportions are observed between customers and companions/guides/animators in activities such as hiking, climbing.
    6. The equipment used by our customers is washed and disinfected daily.
    7. In the personalized packaging we provide, we consider the environmental policy to use less plastic.

    Objective Risk

    Despite the observance of strict safety rules, the use of the best equipment that meets international standards and the best possible planning for safe routes, activities in nature contain the risk of accidents and participation in them requires awareness and acceptance of this risk.

    Personal Accident Insurance

    All participants are required to have valid accident insurance covering nature activities and are themselves responsible for renewing or activating it. For example, some mandatory coverages are transport, medical emergencies and medication.

    1. The organizing service provider is limited to providing as much detailed information as possible about the activity, choosing the safest paths, providing adequate and safe equipment, providing experienced and trained guides/guides, trainers/animators, the which comply with the safety rules set by the company, in harmony with international regulations and its responsibility is limited only to them.
    2. The responsibility of taking the risk of participation is individual and by participating the customer accepts it.
    3. “Modern Yogi” and its staff are not responsible for any injury, loss, damage, delay or inconvenience caused during the activity and the customer has no claim against the organizers of the activity.
    4. In case of extreme weather and natural phenomena (e.g. sinkholes, landslides, earthquake) the participants do not have any demands from the organizers.

    Responsibilities of Participants

    1. Participants are responsible for ensuring the required level of fitness and good health to take part in program activities and are obliged to consult relevant medical practitioners prior to participation.
    2. Any pre-existing medical conditions must be stated in writing prior to any activity as well as allergies and medications. It is important to be aware of any treatment or allergy at least 48 hours before the start of the activity.
    3. Participants assume responsibility for their own public or private safety insurance as well as responsibility for their own personal safety.
    4. Participants must follow the instructions provided by the activity leader, follow the group rules and obey the laws and regulations of the state.
    5. The monitoring of weather changes and the appropriate clothing and footwear as well as the use of the appropriate equipment.
    6. The knowledge of how to use his personal equipment and his thorough training and preparation depending on the activity he may participate in.

    Participation-Reservation Procedures

    1. Those interested submit a participation application online at YogaNafplio.gr or by phone at +302752025997.
    2. Advance 25% of the total cost of the activity.
    3. “Modern Yogi” sends information about the activity and confirms the booking.
    4. 48 hours before the specified start of the activity, the amount is paid by the customer.
    5. “Modern Yogi” sends information about the activity and confirms participation with a receipt or invoice to the customer.
    6. Bank charges are borne by the customer.
    7. “Modern Yogi” reserves the right to refuse any booking request.
    8. Final participation is confirmed upon the timely presence of the client at the predetermined meeting point.

    Program Change

    1. The companions/guides, animators/trainers of “Modern Yogi” have an obligation to carry out the programs in accordance with the rules of each activity and the safety conditions. These same safety rules give them the right to modify an ongoing program/activity and implement an alternative plan. Any additional costs for the change are borne by the participants.
    2. The attendants/guides, animators/instructors of “Modern Yogi” have the right not to allow any of the participants to take part in a section or in the entire program, if they judge that their behavior endangers themselves him and the rest of the participants, without this creating a cause for compensation
    3. The organizer, escorts/guides, animators/trainers reserve the right to modify or cancel the program at the start or during the activity if deemed necessary for reasons of safety or force majeure (natural disasters, unsuitable weather conditions, strikes and other irregularities, determination of unfitness for participant level activity, individual unsuitability, misconduct etc.)
    4. If the client’s activity has to be terminated by a company official for the reasons mentioned above, the cost of the activity will not be refunded
    5. In case of modification or cancellation due to the above, the refund is not possible or if it is then it is calculated as a percentage according to the time of cancellation, the time of realization and the related costs incurred in advance and during the activity.
    6. “Modern Yogi” will try to include the participants in the next activity if they wish.
    7. In the case of modification and deviation of the program due to the above mentioned, the participants are obliged to follow the instructions of the organizer and his staff for safety reasons and refund is not possible as long as there is no cancellation.
    8. In case of cancellation by the customer during the activity due to non-compliance, he is obliged to sign a responsible declaration that he releases “Modern Yogi” and cancels his participation during its program with signature, date and time. In this case, no refund is possible, and no compensation is given to the customer, instead any other additional costs resulting from this decision will be borne solely by the customer.

     

    Note: Weather changes, although now given quite accurately on various platforms, are a risk involved in outdoor activities and cannot be the sole responsibility of the organizer.

    Cancellation Policy

    1. Cancellation by the customer 7 days or more before the start of the activity, the full amount is returned to the customer.
    2. Cancellation by the customer 7 days or less before the start of the activity, no refund.
    3. Cancellation by the organizer before the start of the activity, the full amount is returned to the customer.
    4. Late arrival of the client at the pre-arranged meeting point will be considered a cancellation due to no-show and no refund will be issued to the client.

    Projection and Public view

    Each participant allows photos and videos taken during the excursion to be used for promotional and advertising purposes.

    Each participant consents to the collection, registration and storage of their requested personal data, in order to properly provide a service by Climbing Nafplio and to inform about subsequent activities.

    Personal Data

    All data is kept with absolute confidentiality and security, while each participant has the possibility to immediately request the cessation of the collection of their personal data, as well as the definitive deletion of what has been collected by “Modern Yogi”

    Acceptance

    Participating in the activities and programs of “Modern Yogi” means that you have read and been informed of the above terms of participation and that you accept them unconditionally.

    Comments and Complains

    Any complaints or issues during the activity should be brought to the attention of the leader or “Modern Yogi” representatives as soon as possible so that appropriate action can be taken to resolve the issue.

    In case the participant is not satisfied with the services of “Modern Yogi” or expresses a concern, a concern or simply makes a positive comment then he can send an email to info@YogaNafplio.gr
